These Terms govern your use of stingraysindia.in and the Stingrays Quest app, your enrolment in Stingrays India swim programmes, and your dealings with us on WhatsApp, email, phone or social media. Stingrays India is operated by Stingrays Swimming School By booking a class or using our services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Our services

We provide swim coaching for children and adults at partner pools in Chennai, including learn-to-swim group classes, toddler classes, adult classes and private lessons. Venues, schedules and fees are shown on each venue page and confirmed when you book, and may change from time to time. Some venues are open to residents of that community only.

2. Bookings, trials and fees

• Booking: book through WhatsApp (+91 72005 35360), email or at the venue. A place is confirmed once the first fee is paid.
• Trial classes: where we offer a trial class, its terms are confirmed at the time of booking.
• Fees: payable in advance for each billing period, as confirmed at booking. If fees are not received when due, we may pause class access until they are paid.

3. Cancellations, refunds and missed classes

• Leaving: give us at least 14 days' notice by WhatsApp or email. Fees for the current period are non-refundable; fees paid for future periods are refunded.
• Missed classes: sessions a swimmer chooses to miss are not refunded.
• Classes we cancel: if we cancel a class (for example, weather, pool closure or coach unavailability), we offer a make-up session where reasonably possible.
• Long absence: tell us about absences of more than two weeks; we may pause enrolment by agreement.

4. Parent and swimmer responsibilities

• Arrive at least 5 minutes before class with swimwear, a swim cap and goggles.
• For children, a parent or guardian must stay at or near the venue during class unless agreed otherwise in writing.
• Follow the venue's rules and treat coaches, staff, swimmers and other families with respect.
• Tell us in writing about changes to contact details or the swimmer's health.

5. Health and safety

You confirm the swimmer is fit to take part, and you will tell us in writing about any medical condition, allergy or injury relevant to swimming. Our coaches are trained in water safety and first aid, and our 6:1 ratio is designed for safety, but swimming carries inherent risks. In an emergency, our coaches will give first aid and call emergency services, and we will contact you as soon as possible.

6. Photography and video

We publish identifiable photos or videos of swimmers only with parental consent, and remove them from our channels if consent is withdrawn. Tell the coach at the start of a session if you do not want to be photographed.

7. The Stingrays Quest app

• The app is provided free to enrolled families and staff. Accounts are created by Stingrays and are personal to the family; please do not share sign-in access.
• XP, badges and skill cards are rewards for progress. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and can be redeemed only for items we offer, while stocks last.
• We may change, pause or retire app features, rewards or the app itself. Progress shown in the app is a guide; the coach's assessment at the pool is the official record.
• We may suspend app access if the account is misused or enrolment ends.

8. Website use and intellectual property

You may use stingraysindia.in for personal, non-commercial purposes. All content, including the Stingrays name and logo, the curriculum, the Stingrays Quest characters and the website design, belongs to Stingrays Swimming School, its group companies or licensors, and may not be copied without written permission.

9. Liability

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. These Terms do not affect your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

10. Ending enrolment

We may suspend or end enrolment if fees are more than 30 days overdue, if behaviour endangers safety or seriously disrupts classes, or if materially false information was given. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice first.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We will try to resolve any dispute through good-faith discussion first; failing that, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.
